The Allstar Platinum Series is the top of our race trailer lineup. Every Velocity feature is here — 7,000 lb torsion spread axles, 7’6″ interior, SpiderMag wheels, generator box, electric awning, 5,000 lb winch, toolbox — plus the flagship upgrades that turn a race trailer into a rolling pit setup and hospitality unit: mini-split A/C, recessed winch, ATP wheel well, optional half-carpet wall, motion lighting in the stepwell and rear wheel well, cabinet lighting, 12V puck floor lights, 12V rope lights with remote, TV between cabinets, radio with interior and exterior speakers, and a Caliber Protec floor.

This is the trailer to pick when the rig is part of the team’s identity at the track, when you spend hours inside it on race weekends, and when you want every premium upgrade Allstar offers. Below: what’s included, sizes, who the Platinum is for, and how it compares to the rest of the lineup.

Platinum Series — Available Sizes

The Platinum is built on the 8.5-wide chassis in three lengths. Most Platinum customers go long — 28 or 32 feet — because the flagship features earn their keep with more interior space.

  • 8.5×24 Platinum — entry Platinum length. Roughly 26 feet of usable floor with V-nose. The smaller-footprint flagship for a one-car race team that still wants every feature.
  • 8.5×28 Platinum — the most common Platinum size. Room for the race car plus a finished hospitality area with TV, radio, and full lighting package. Excellent for observation deck builds.
  • 8.5×32 Platinum — the flagship of the flagship. Maximum usable floor, room for full lounge area plus race car plus generator compartment, on triple-axle suspension. Pair with a 1-ton tow vehicle.

Platinum Exterior & Frame

  • Semi-Screwless .080 Polycore Exterior — thicker premium aluminum skin, the foundation of every Allstar premium race trailer.
  • Rear Spoiler with 12V Loading Lights — integrated rear lighting.
  • Spread Axles with Corvette Fenders — premium race trailer stance.
  • 60″ Triple-Tube Tongue (TTT) — reinforced for high-mileage towing.
  • Cast Corners — premium corner construction.
  • SpiderMag Wheels — standard on every Platinum.
  • ATP Wheel Well — Platinum-exclusive: aluminum tread plate cladding around the wheel well for a finished look and added protection.
  • Optional 2-Tone Exterior — color match to team livery.
  • Electric Jack — set-and-forget hitch height adjustment.

Suspension & Axles

  • 7,000 lb Torsion Spread Axles — 14,000 lb GVWR on the tandem setup. Smoother ride at speed, less vibration to the cargo, and the headroom to carry a fully loaded Platinum build. Premium Dexter torsion spread axles are the industry standard for race trailer suspensions.
  • Bogey Wheels — lower ramp angle for race cars and side-by-sides.

Interior & Finishes

This is where the Platinum stretches out. The exterior and chassis match the Velocity; the interior is what makes a Platinum a Platinum.

  • 7’6″ Interior Height — stand-up room for taller crews, finished interior, observation deck builds.
  • Race Package — pre-fitted for race-specific cargo handling.
  • White Metal Walls & Ceiling — bright finished interior.
  • Optional Half-Carpet Wall or Full ATP Interior — Platinum-exclusive interior wall finish options.
  • (2) Rows of Floor E-Track — tie-down rails for race cars and equipment.
  • Escape Door — 60×78″ double side door for getting around a parked race car.
  • Aluminum Holdbacks — premium chain and strap mounting hardware.
  • Recessed Winch — Platinum-exclusive: the 5,000 lb winch is recessed into the front cabinetry for a cleaner V-nose look.
  • Base Cabinet with Mousehole & Winch Plate — V-nose base cabinet; mousehole lets the recessed winch cable pull the car forward into the cabinet.
  • Toolbox + 2′ Closet Over Toolbox — extra vertical storage for crew gear and uniforms — Platinum-only.
  • RTP Ramp & Flap with Double Spring Assist + Double Ramp Handles — one-person ramp operation.
  • Caliber Protec Floor — Platinum-exclusive premium polyurea floor coating. Tougher than ATP, easier to clean, looks the part on a flagship build.
  • Recessed Tire Compartment with Spare — spare tire stored out of the interior floor space.

Climate & Power

  • Mini-Split A/C — Platinum-exclusive. Quieter, more efficient, and more powerful than the 15K rooftop A/C on Qualifier and Velocity builds. The right call for race weekends spent inside the trailer.
  • Ceiling and Wall Insulation — pairs with the mini-split for true climate control.
  • Marine Batteries — 12V power for lights and accessories when shore power and generator are both off.
  • 50 AMP Twistlock Cord — full-capacity shore power inlet.
  • Generator Box on Tongue — vented, locking, pre-wired through a transfer switch. Fits a Honda EU2200i or similar inverter generator.
  • Electric Awning — deploys with a button for pit shade and tailgate cover.
  • (3) 110V Recepts — interior outlets for tools and accessories.
  • (1) Exterior GFI — weatherproof exterior outlet.

Premium Lighting Package

Lighting is where the Platinum really separates from the rest of the lineup. Every Platinum ships with the full premium lighting package.

  • (3) 110V Flat Panel Lights — bright finished-interior ceiling lighting.
  • (8) 12V LED Strip Lights — workspace and accent lighting throughout.
  • 12V Puck Lights in Floor — Platinum-exclusive. Recessed floor-mounted accent lighting.
  • 12V Motion Lights in Stepwell & Rear Wheel Well — Platinum-exclusive. Auto-on lighting for after-dark loading.
  • (4) 4″ 12V Lights in Cabinets — Platinum-exclusive. Cabinet interior lighting.
  • 12V Rope Lights with Remote — Platinum-exclusive. Remote-controlled accent lighting.
  • 12V Courtesy Lights — soft interior lighting.
  • LED Dual Taillights — premium rear lighting.

Entertainment & Hospitality

  • TV Between Overhead & Base Cabinets — Platinum-exclusive. Wall-mounted TV between cabinets for race weekends, lounge time between rounds, or hospitality at events.
  • Radio with Interior & Exterior Speakers — Platinum-exclusive. Music inside the trailer and outside in the pit.

Who the Platinum Series Is For

  • Premium race teams where the trailer is part of the team’s identity in the pits.
  • Multi-driver and family teams that spend full weekends inside the trailer.
  • Observation deck builds — the Platinum pairs naturally with walk-on roof and deck options on 8.5×28 and 8.5×32 builds.
  • Hospitality-focused racers who entertain crew, family, sponsors, and friends at the track.
  • Anyone who wants every premium feature Allstar offers in one build — mini-split A/C, finished interior, TV, radio, motion lighting, cabinet lighting, Caliber Protec floor — without piecing it together from individual upgrades.

If most of those don’t apply, the Velocity Series is probably the better value — same chassis, same axles, same race-weekend features, without the flagship hospitality and lighting package. The Qualifier Series is the entry to Allstar’s named race trailer lineup. See all three on the race trailer packages overview.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between Platinum and Velocity?

The Platinum is the flagship and adds, over the Velocity: mini-split A/C (vs 15K rooftop), recessed winch (cleaner V-nose look), ATP wheel well, optional half-carpet wall or ATP interior wall, TV between overhead and base cabinets, radio with interior + exterior speakers, 12V puck lights in the floor, 12V motion lights in the stepwell and rear wheel well, (4) 4″ 12V cabinet lights, 12V rope lights with remote, 2′ closet over toolbox, and a Caliber Protec floor coating. Both share the 7,000 lb torsion spread axles, 7’6″ interior, SpiderMag wheels, generator box, electric awning, 5,000 lb winch, toolbox, escape door, bogey wheels, and .080 Polycore exterior.

What’s a mini-split A/C and why is it better than the 15K rooftop?

A mini-split A/C is a wall-mounted split-system air conditioner — a compressor unit mounted outside the trailer and a quiet head unit inside. Compared to the 15K rooftop A/C on Qualifier and Velocity builds, mini-splits are quieter (no overhead motor noise), more efficient (lower power draw for the same cooling), and offer better climate control (precise temperature setting and fan speeds). The mini-split is one of the Platinum’s signature upgrades — it makes a real difference on race weekends spent inside the trailer.

What is Caliber Protec floor?

Caliber Protec is a premium polyurea floor coating — tougher than ATP (aluminum tread plate), easier to clean than rubber tread plate, and finished to look the part on a flagship race trailer build. It bonds to the floor for a seamless protective surface that handles tire marks, fluids, and dragged tools without flaking. Standard on every Platinum.

What sizes does the Platinum come in?

The Platinum is built in three lengths on the 8.5-wide chassis: 8.5×24, 8.5×28, and 8.5×32. Most Platinum customers pick the 8.5×28 or 8.5×32 because the flagship features (TV, radio, lighting package, finished interior) earn their keep with more interior space. Pair the 8.5×32 with a 1-ton tow vehicle on triple-axle suspension.

Can I add an observation deck to a Platinum?

Yes — and the Platinum is the natural pairing for an observation deck build because the trailer is already specced for hospitality. Observation decks require a reinforced walk-on roof package (built in at order time, not retrofitted later) and work best on 8.5×28 or 8.5×32 builds where the deck has the length to be useful. Mention observation deck on your quote and we’ll spec the roof reinforcement and deck/railing accordingly.

What’s a recessed winch?

On Velocity builds, the 5,000 lb winch is mounted on the floor or front wall in the V-nose. On Platinum builds, the winch is recessed into the front cabinetry — the body of the winch sits inside the cabinet, with just the cable and fairlead visible. It’s a cleaner, more finished look, and one of the small details that separates the Platinum.

Does the Platinum come with the TV and radio installed?

Yes — every Platinum ships with a TV mount between the overhead and base cabinets and a radio with interior and exterior speakers, all wired and installed. The specific TV and radio models can vary by build; we’ll confirm the current specs when you request a quote.

Can I tow a Platinum 8.5×32 with a 3/4-ton truck?

Most 3/4-ton diesels are rated to tow a fully loaded 8.5×32 Platinum, but the Platinum is heavier than a Qualifier or Velocity of the same length because of the additional features (mini-split, ATP wheel well, Caliber Protec floor, additional lighting and electrical, TV/radio). A 1-ton truck is the more comfortable match for a regularly used 32-foot Platinum. Always check your tow vehicle’s GCWR, hitch class, and rear axle rating against the loaded trailer GVWR.

Can I customize the Platinum further?

Yes. The Platinum ships with the flagship feature set, but we still build to order — color, two-tone exterior, half-carpet wall vs full ATP, custom cabinetry, observation deck builds, custom paint, and other personalization options can all be specced at order time. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll quote the build.

Can I finance a Platinum race trailer?

Yes. Allstar works with multiple lenders and accepts credit scores down to 500 with no prepayment penalties. Same-day funding is often available. We also offer a rent-to-own program with no credit check. Apply through our financing page and our team will match you with the best option for the Platinum build you want.

Does Allstar deliver Platinum race trailers nationwide?

Yes. We deliver Platinum race trailers — and every other Allstar build — to all 48 contiguous states from our home base in Douglas, Georgia. See our delivery page for state-by-state coverage and current lead times.
